Personal trainer
Stuart Ward, with 17 years of experience as a personal trainer at the luxury hotel Chewton Glen, decided to set up his own business, Nourishing Moves.
He believes that exercise should nourish the body and mind rather than punishing ourselves to burn off bad food habits or chase that elusive six-pack. Instead, changing our tune to treat our bodies with respect.
Sharing his love of movement, and helping clients to nourish the body and mind through his own unique blend of Tai Chi, Pilates and the Art of Strength programme.
The project
The brief was to create a visual identity, fusing the concepts of balance and barefoot training. This included a website that would engage with potential students, providing clear information and communication through his regular blogs.

The outcome
The visual branding utilised clean typography incorporating a bespoke marque inspired by the yin & yang symbol denoting balance fused with graphic interpretations of footprints.
A muted colour palette of forest green accented with olive green provides a sense of grounding while barefoot training. The visual identity was displayed across business stationery, marketing collateral and the website.
The fully responsive website was designed utilising the muted colour palette accented with white space and natural images of Stuart exercising. The structure of the website establishes a clear customer journey enabling visitors to find the information they need.
